A Walk About

Though Halloween is over. . .I just had to share these photos of the holiday and the fun some people have in celebrating it.   I did enjoy the "gentleman and his dog!"
So the holidays begin.  Yes, this is only the beginning!
Autumn is still glorious here.  The weather has been good, except for rains last week that brought us 5 inches.  All in all it's been grand so I intend to be glad and rejoice!

This poor "gentleman" apparently had had enough and gave up the ghost, no pun intended.  It is so sad to see a beautiful, old tree like this just lay down.  It's hollow so it was suffering for some time. May he rest in peace.

Autumn Leaves

It's been a long three weeks and I've not had a hiatus like this since I started blogging 5 years ago.  Just let it be said that this has been a three weeks of challenges and inspiration, love and miracles.

The Little Red House and share in the beauty offered there.   Visit Macro Monday,  too.  Lisa has a wonderful time planned for you.  The pictures all are an inspiration!

(Editing error...It should read, "Autumn is a second spring when every LEAF is a flower.)

~~Bad Haiku Friday~~

It is a grand day
If for no other reason
Because it's Friday

On this Fall weekend
Get in your car and travel
The roads of color

The sweet calm sunshine of October, now
Warms the low spot; upon its grassy mold
The purple oak-leaf falls; the birchen bough
drops its bright spoil like arrow-heads of gold.
