~~Mosaic Monday~Macro Monday~~

Can anyone deny the beauty of the eyes of this doe?  These are the eyes of the mother of twin fawns.  On a day when she was taking time to rest, she looked up into the lens of the camera and did not blink.  She simply allowed the picture to be snapped and went on resting.

Here is mom with the twin fawns.  I wish I had gotten a picture of them scampering about the yard here, bouncing as they went.  They are most sure-surefooted.  What a privilege it was to be allowed to enter into their world for just a few minutes.  Even to witnessing fawn nursing.  Oh my, the glory of God's creation!

~~~^j^~~~
Thanks be to God!
Cathy
Now please visit Mary at The Little Red House and share in the beauty offered there.   Lisa at  Macro Monday  also has much to offer.  The pictures are grand.
  8. Cathy....We have little, medium, and large deer scampering through and playing in our fields all the time, but they will NOT let you get anywhere near them without running. off. I know you were thrilled to get up so close to this mom and her twins. You were so fortunate she allowed you to snap all of this wonderful shots. I envy you. Sorry my thumbnail went in 3 times. Mr. Linky really played a mean old trick on me. He kept telling me I had an error and could not post it...but he fibbed and did it 3 times. Sorry about that. I am really embarrassed. Genie
  9. Oh, no, Cathy. I just came to your post again. Mr. Linky id it to you, too. At least he only got you 2 times rather than my 3. What in the world is going on. I wrote Lisa an email and commented about it on her blog so maybe she will be able to delete the extras. Genie
  11. Wonderful captures of the deer!
    I love that one of the fawn looking back.
    We have them year round.
    As we were leaving yesterday I saw my first fawn of the summer. I was going to the movies and didn't want to leave my camera in the car so I left it at home - a missed photo opportunity but a joy that made me smile anyway. :)
    Thanks for your visit and lovely comment.
  22. Cathy this is amazing. I have never been so lucky as to be in the right place, with a camera, to get photos like that. Our daughter lives in a beautiful spacious area and there are dear everywhere. It seems as if as soon as you see them they just know and take off. Great mosaic.
