~~Bad Haiku Friday and Haiku My Heart~~

The little Dutch shoes
Hung on the tree just
Waitin' and watchin'

How lovely I am
As she watched and she waited
For someone to stop

She realized though
As humility won out
It's not about me!

Wishing all a wonderful weekend, with peace and relaxation as we approach the Birthday of the King.

  1. Good Morning Cathy! You and I are early Haiku risers. Thanks for stopping by this morning and leaving your wonderful comments. Your little dutch shoes are so sweet, and your haiku captures the Christmas spirit so well. I love the picture and each carefully chosen word.

I love your blog, and I am about to "frolic" around your posts. I am a former Catholic school teacher, also. Have a wonderful, December day!

  6. Great Haiku! And lovely little Dutch shoes! I used to collect them, they are packed away now, but I think after Christmas I will dig them out of the attic and display them again.
    LOVE your beautiful Christmas sentiments!

  8. I'd say "amusing haiku" not bad haiku.

  9. There's something sad about these pretty little shoes waiting and not being noticed.
I am glad you noticed them enough to write a sweet little haiku about them.
