  10. Oh GrandmaK
I LOVE Pat & Mike! And that gorgeous song, "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling"! When I hear it I am a child again. It is Saturday morning and I am having a Saturday morning sleep in. Then, from the kitchen radio, strains of "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling" come drifting up the stairs. In a shot I am out of bed, down the stairs and into the kitchen where the rest of the family is already assembled. Well, one of our favourite programmes is on, "The Big 6". Every Saturday morning a local department store, "The Big 6" sponsored a programme of Irish music and, where I come from, Irish music is BIG.

Have you ever heard the song, "When I Mowed Pat Murphy's Meadow"? That was written by the owner of "The Big Six". If you haven't heard the song, you can find it on youtube sung by The McNulty Family, Daniel O'Donnell and perhaps others. I hope I haven't taken up too much of your time but this post is JUST GRAND! Thanks and God bless you.
